This residence was designed as a feasibility study for the suitability of a steeply down sloping lot situated across a valley from a tract of land protected from future development. The program called for a 350 square meter residence with 5 bedrooms with baths, living, dining, and recreation areas, kitchen, a maid’s quarters, swimming pool, studio, motor court and a four car garage. The solution employs a series of terraced, independent pavilions with open courtyards threaded together by a dominant circulation path.
